Governance Training

Whatever your budget or time allocated for board development, Ruth will work with you to design a governance or professional development workshop that reinvigorates your board and gets them excited about good governance.

Ruth offers a unique interactive four-hour workshop on the ’12 Principles of Good Governance’. This workshop helps your board to understand good practice principles and self-assess their performance as a team.

Board Evaluation

Ruth also provides an online survey that assists nonprofit boards to undertake an assessment of their strengths and areas for development. This assessment offers a simple and easy way for each board member to assess his or her own performance and then review a customised report about how the board views its performance in five specific areas:

  1. Knowledge
  2. Duties
  3. Meeting performance
  4. Commitment and diligence
  5. Governance

The report becomes a powerful tool that can help boards measure growth and set goals for strengthening board practices. It promotes a cycle of continuous improvement in board governance, all directed toward advancing the organisation’s mission.
